Everyone has to do Technology on school untill they get to GCSEs¹. This can be in various areas of Technology from Resistent Metirials² to Food Technology³.

There is one recuring factor about Technology projects and that is that they always, in some way or another, go wrong. Sometimes it's that there is not enough time, others there will be the wrong equipment is left in the workshop and there is no access to the correct equipment. Sometimes everything has to be redone because the teacher gets a mesurement wrong or tells everyone to do something wrongly.

Although there are commonly problems in school Technology sometimes things, strangely, work and things are made and skills are learnt. This happens more often when pupils choose their own projects as they, not have quite as much on theirs minds, get the correct things together, especially when they need it to work in order to get a qualification.

Schools often do the same projects year after year and, as they know what to do like the back of their hands, these usely work. It is when teachers come up with a brand new,intresting, exciting project that things go wrong and the class that go first have to suffer the whole project and rarely get much out of it, exept a dread of Technology.
