Thursday it was announced that free disks are available from Tempo stores
nation-wide for the Free screaming.net service.
You change your telephone server from BT or C&W or Telewest or Comtel to
Localtel. You then receive free internet dial up access through an
0845/0345 number every evening and every weekend for ever.
LocalTel charges £8.92 per mnth line rental and services like Friends and
family and best friend numbers are free.
Now I didn't send this email as a public broadcast - although I want to make
sure you are all kept up to date on things - my question being :-
Q: Would it be worth changing phone providers for the free 0845/0345
internet service provider dialup numbers ( evenings and weekends) - I am
a Cable & Wireless customer and for £9.99 a month I get line rental and a
televisions package.
OR - is Cable & Wireless gonna come up with a better deal very soon -
thereby making my change to LocalTel the wrong move.
Q: Is there any real hope that C&W are going to offer digital cable modems
or free isp calls????? Please help????? with this info. I would hate to
leave one company for a better deal while an even better deal is brewing at
C&W.

Is this a good deal ?- are there any better? - or any offers in the
pipeline from C&W?
Surely C&W would act to fast before we move over to Localtel.
Sure C&W offer the cheapest Local Rate calls = but you can add a friends
and family and best friend to Localtel for free and get upto 20% off.

but they are at certain times of the day - Tuesday - Thursday - midnight
to 2am and sometimes on the weekend. I use the service if you don't mind
constant ads on the top of the screen.
So what's C&W going to do to keep it's customers ?? Do they really care
