The Song of Aida

Oh you mortal human
Who entered the face of Earth
Give up your futile hope now]
You arrive in chambers of final word

You don’t need to breath air,
You don’t need to see the sky,
Your human needs are over
You are in Martyr’s Hospital

Oh you gracious reader
Thank you for your time
Ask the God of Mercy for those evils
Who build walls to burry you alive.

Note to the:
Finale from Verdi’s XIX. Century Opera: Aida.

I wrote this poem some years ago on the occasion
When I saw building some hospital rooms with
Very small spaces for the patients.
My opinion was that human dimensions
Should be taken into consideration under
Any circumstances.

Why was such thing happening?
Chances are that in that community where
This hospital needed extensions, the legal limits
Was very strict serving the interest of some
Powerful groups guarding real estate.

I was not the only one to bring up this issue.
However to lead such brutal, greedy people
To better insight takes time.

But it will happen
Just wait and see.
