The adventures of a Cultist

About Feburary I sold some of my figure collection. Stuff that had been in reserve for awhile but wasn't going anywhere. This included some militia soldiers, some eldar, and a unit of Pikemen. These pikemen cost me around 15 pounds, and went for 20. I'd made my money back roughly, taking into account fees and such.

A few days passes and the man emails me. He wanted more...

And so it began.

Its bizarre to actually be able to say that your a professional painter. That your paintings sell for hundreds of pounds.

There's a reason behind my success however - I'm cheep. My leading rivals and thus my nemesi, Dark Age, paint at the same quality (although I think they use too much varnish) for a higher price. A much higher price. I sell mine for roughly half.

Why?

Pretty simple really - painting is like a sport or a skill. You do it once you can't be good. But as you do it time and time again you get better and better. Thats not to say I'm anywhere near Tammy Haye's league, or even Jacob Nielsen who is simply phenominal.
