RINGO STARR
Created | Updated Mar 20, 2003
Birthday: July 7, 1940
Birthplace: Liverpool, England
Birthname: Richard B. Starkey
RINGO spent a good deal of his childhood in hospital, and praciticed drums there. He befriended The BEATLES while playing drums in the group Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, where he was given his stage name, RINGO STARR(he wore many rings, and changing his last name to Starr allowed for his drum solos to be deemed "STARR TIME", and rightfully so).
RINGO sat in for the BEATLES when their drummer sat out, and finally replaced Pete Best in September of 1962(no exact date can be found)
"Pete Best Forever, Ringo Never!"
ALL HAIL RINGO!!!
He has his own Internet Site(it has SUCH a cute picture of him!!!)Here are...Thirteen Reasons to Respect RINGO Starr
I have my own reasons for respecting him. I went to his concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver on June 28, 2000, days before he turned 60. His enthusiastic, fan-loving performance is a testament to the head-bopping, left-handed drumming, blue-eyed phenomena known as RINGO STARR.
