Author: Hooper_X - U153501
A nicely writen article about a wonderful toy line. It needs some work on the GuideML, but otherwise might make a nice edition to the Guide.

I agree with you Raukodraug
Hooper_X seems to have left the building, but the entry is pretty much done as far as I can tell (bearing in mind my meagre knowledge of the subject), apart from the GuideML.
Looks recommendable to me

I like it, though it being barely unreadable in plain text, maybe spruce it up a bit and it'll be perfect.'
seems to imply here and there

I did notice that Hooper_X no longer seemed to be around, but I wasn't sure if that would make a difference. Since it wasn't in Flea Market I assumed it would be eligible.
If the original editor does still need to be active to have an entry considered for the guide then I guess someone from an official capacity will move this to the Flea Market.
I've only been around a few weeks so I'm interested to see how this works.

I don't think this one needs to go the Flea Market - the FM is for entries in Peer Review which have been abandoned by the author and which are considered to have potential if someone else would like to take them on.
With entries written by Researchers who are no longer active you have two choices:
1) If the entry is as complete as this one is, you can simply submit it to PR. There will be an incubation period in PR during which time a thread like this will (hopefully) point out any problems with the entry, or suggest any additions. After seven days the entry becomes eligible to be recommended by a Scout, but entries usually stay a little longer than that. Because the original author isn't around any more, none of these suggestions can be implemented, because only the original author can edit it, until...
If it is picked, the Sub-editor will make a new copy of the entry and incorporate any suggestions in the PR thread before sending it off to the Editors.
2) In the case of an entry by an AWOL Researcher which isn't quite ready but which you'd like to work on, the best thing to do is to leave a message on his (or her) Personal Space to say that you'd like to improve their entry, and wait four weeks to see if they reply. If they don't, leave another post to say that you're going to work on their entry, as they seem to be an inactive researcher as far as you can tell. Create a new entry of your own, copy the contents of the older entry into it, and work on it from there. Once you submit it to PR, leave a message on the original Researcher's page with a link to the Peer Review thread so that they can find out what's going on if they should return.
Hope that helps

Great Entry. Great Find!
A Sub-Ed will have to degarble the GML, but I think it is a feasible task.

GI Joe seems to be the American version of 'Action Man'. Does anybody know which one came first, which was more popular etc.

I think this is even mentioned in the Entry. It says the GI Joe was merged into the already existing 'Action Force' figures in the UK.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
