The capital of the country known as Bretaam. A city of humans. Non-pure humans are openly not-tolerated. In all Bretaam, but especially in Altberg Xenophobia is rife, and strangeness - in all forms including magic, psi and chi - is punishable by death. Throughout Bretaam the Witchhunters ride. Sour killers who capture their victims alive - be they werewolf, elf or innocent old herbalist - try them in a farcicle court - then sentence them to death. A few people are tolerant, and most would not give you away if you slipped them some gold, but to travel in Altberg as a non-human, or even as a mage is a lethal exercise.
