There is something a bit odd about the way sausages are wrapped. Not the kind of sausages you but from butchers and the like, but those that come pre-wrapped in the supermarket. The adhesive used, I'm sure came as a by-product of the aerospace industry as it just doesn't want to become unstuck. Furthermore, the plastic used, once a tear is made in it just doesn't want to stop tearing. The result is that no matter how many sausages you eat, there isn't enough plastic left to wrap what's left. I think it's a done deliberately to get you to eat the lot. I recommend the use of freezer bags to combat this problem.
While I'm on the subject of sausages, there's a great butchers in Edinburgh (Crombies of Edinburgh, Broughton street) who do a large selection of excellent sausages such as wild boar with apple as well as other tasty meats and delicatessen produce.
