h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The Music Website Jukebox - http://www.h2g2.com/A242245 - is an ever-expanding compendium of links to band and artist websites, lovingly arranged in alphabetical order. There are seperate sections for current acts and for those from the past, and a section of links to music news websites. It probably has the distinction of being the most heavily-linked page on h2g2 - there are now well over 500 links!
Also, I have recently written an Entry on one of the most infuential indie bands ever: The Smiths. You'll find it on http://www.h2g2.com/A446014 .

I like the Music Website Jukebox so much that I'm about to place a link to it from the Guild's main page. I'm sure many of the Guild members will be interested in checking it out.

By the way, I really like the way you described the origin of The Smiths. All of a sudden, I understood them much better!

Encouraged by your enthusiasm, I have spent quite a few hours over the past week polishing up The Music Website Jukebox, checking all 550 or so links, deleting quite a number of broken links and replacing them where possible. I've also added a few new acts' sites here and there, so I think the page is now bang up to date and in good working order.
Also, as you liked my Smiths piece, you might like to know that it has now been accepted for the Edited Guide!

Awesome! Thanks for the work on the Music Website Jukebox. It is a valuable resource for fans, and I do hope more people will find it through our little directory.

Fragilis, in the Country Music http://www.h2g2.com/A292501 article's threads is an opinion piece I wrote about Dolly Parton http://www.h2g2.com/F36656?thread=49728&latest=1 If you think it is suitable for the article links page I will copy it to its own page so you can link to it - or maybe you could just link to the thread - whatever suits you best.

I've read the Dolly Parton post, and I think it is a worthy addition to the directory. More factual information could perhaps be added, like a listing of her CDs or the movies she has been in. But it's a good start, and really captures the flavor of that enigmatic large-breasted country star who once counseled all women to eat "half-portions" of everything on their plates to lose weight.

If you put it into article form, I'll add it to the directory. I'm afraid I'm unwilling to link directly to a thread, though.
