I'm 26 and have never had a filling.
I eat quite a lot of chocolate I guess. Not all that often, but when I start, no matter how large the bar/packet, it'll be empty by the time I've finished.
Just last week, dentist tells me I need a filling. It doesn't hurt but I could see what he was pointing at so I guess it's got to be done.
Fortunately, the evening before - by chance - I'd eaten my Easter supply of Creme Eggs. (All of them, obviously - see above.)
Now I find I don't enjoy chocolate the same.
I eat it and think straight away about cleaning my teeth, when I should just think about enjoying the lingering chocolate taste.
This dentist has ruined my chocolife!
NOW I understand when people say they are a sadistic profession.
Any advice to cure my psychological disorder?
Or can any dentists allay my fears?
iG

I'll go find Saint Arthur Dentist, the Patron Saint of Pliers, and drag him here by his short & curlies, and tell him to answer your query.
My sympathies hon.

But he hasn't been online.
I will truss him up & bring him here for an explanation when he comes back though.
