Favourite Sweets

1 Conversation

Thinking of all the sweets i used to like makes me feel so nostalgic. Although todays educational criteria for healthy eating turns children away from such delights it doesnt stop them from buying todays selection, which have a variety of modern names some of which have been with us for 50yrs or more.
From time to time my wife and i dicuss the treats we used to enjoy as children and there is one in particular that i used to really like in the early 60`s but i cannot remember its name.
It was a rectangular bar about 4 inches long, 3 inches wide, and around 2 inches thick, it was made with what i can only describe as rice krispies held together with a layer of thin clear toffee.
I am sure its name was something like "Beta Bar" but after trawling through endless sites of retro sweets i cannot find it.
I hope someone out there can help me and put me out of my misery !!!

Yours frustratingly
