The Tweenies is the BBC Children's Television series based around the adventures that Bella,Jake,Fizz,Milo,Judy,Max and Doodles have during their time at the sort of play group. They have a clock called the Tweenie clock which dictates the activity they are going to do. Activities include: Messey Time, Story Time, Song Time, Telly Time and Newstime.

His favourite colour is green. He likes drinking milk (especially chocolate milk at his grandad's), and he loves eating bananas, carrots, rice and yogurt.
He enjoys making things and getting messy especialy when glue is envolved. He can remember the time everyone got stuck together. He also likes frogs and spiders!

Fizz is a yellow skined 3 and nearly 4 year old. Her favourite colour is pink, she likes beads in her hair and her best freind is Bella even though she does like to help Jake sometimes. She likes drinking orange juice and eating carrots, pasta, pineapple and candy-floss! Her favourite thing in the whole world is Ballet dancing but she likes other dancing too. She likes shiny things, painting and finding out about animals. Her favorite place is the seaside.

Judy:

Judy is a green skined adult he co-runs the play group. Her favourite colour is orange. She likes eating oranges too, and lots of other fruits and vegetables. She likes growing some of them in my garden at home, and the garden here at playgroup is one of my favourite places. She loves lisening to music as long as it has a good tune. She also likes pepper mint tea and painting!

Max:

Max is a red skined adult who co-runs the play group with Judy. Doodles is his dog - He has had him since he was a puppy - and he comes along with him every day.
His favourite colour is purple and he loves drinking tea and gardening. He really like living in town, though one of his favourite places to be is sitting in a deck-chair of the beach! He likes reading stories the most at the playgroup because he can do all the different voices.

Doodles:

Doodles is a red and yellow, 6 year old dog. His favourite colour is yellow and he loves eating his dog food, followed by a bone or two and some lovely water. However, he really, really love eating lots of Pancakes! He enjoys sleeping and making jokes. He also likes singing, joining in the clapping and sleeping on his bean bag. He does not like it when people are sad and being stuck up trees.

The Philosophy of the Show

Here is a quote about the show's philosophy:
"
The design elements throughout the production uses simple colours that appeal to the age group. Tweenies is set in two areas 'inside' and 'outside' - not unlike a playgroup or nursery. 'Inside' there are separate areas for the different activities described and a unique clock that signals the start of a new activity. Technology is featured through a TV, video player, a computer and a telephone. 'Outside' has all the elements of a child's playground including a climbing frame and garden - and these are reflected and extended in the real world film inserts.
The programmes includes fantasy items when, by the use of video effects and simple graphics, the viewer is transported on the wings of the imagination of one of the characters to an intriguing and exciting location. It may be the moon, a mountain with a friendly bear or a visit to the world of creepy crawlies at their own size!
Produced at a pace appropriately geared to the young audience and packed with information, stories, songs, dance, and fun, Tweenies is a thought provoking, enriching and enjoyable experience. The programme activities and positive values encourage very young children to wonder at their world and the world beyond, to explore language, stories and rhymes enjoy music, movement and creative play and to develop a range of life skills that will help to promote confidence before they start school." - Quote from BBC Online

The End

Well that's all the time aload for writing about the Tweenies and all you have time to read. There could do a massive episode guide if there was time but oh well. Hope you liked the article and remember to tune in to the Tweenies on CBBC. Bye!
