Finding Wildlife at Yellowstone National Park
Created | Updated Jan 28, 2002
Visitors are sometimes frustrated at the park, however, as wildlife is often difficult to find, what with all the thick forests and concealing hills.
Do not lose heart, however, for there is a tried and tested method of finding wildlife in Yellowstone National Park...
How to find wildlife:
1) Board your mode of transportation of choice, and proceed down one of Yellowstone's main roads
2) Continue through the park, for as long as necessary, and keep a sharp lookout for cars parked on the side of the road.
3) If you are lucky enough to spot a large cluster of cars stopped to one side of the road, there is a good chance that wildlife is not far away.
4) Look near the stopped vehicles... if you happen to spot a large congregation of not-too-stylish human beings brandishing photographic devices, stop your vehicle immediately... a chance to view wildlife has presented itself!
5) Follow the curious cluster of typical tourists, look in the same direction they are looking, and you will surely be treated to a breathtaking view of one of Yellowstone's many native species, including but not limited to Elk, Moose, Pronghorn and Bear.
Best of luck on your wildlife viewing experience!
