Five Minute Voyager

Zeke: A brilliant plan indeed, full of subtlety and wit.
Kira: Is the wit subtle?
Zeke: Never!

Five Minute Voyager (www.fiveminute.net), the brainchild of Colin Hayman (Zeke), is a Star Trek parody site that takes episodes of the franchise and reduce them to a five-minute length. If you don't have time to commit an hour to an episode, you can easily catch up on all the important happenings via the "fivers", or five-minute episodes. In addition to getting the whole plot, you also get, for free, snide social commentary, bad puns, and non-existant-in-real-life subplots.

The site covers mostly Star Trek, although there is plenty of variety, including Five Minute Shakespeare, Five Minute Videogames, and assorted works of Science Fiction. In addition, the staff of 5MV takes time to write their own stories and adventures, starring themselves, of course; these stories are frequently funnier than most fivers, and will have you gasping for air at the sheer absurdity of the situations our heroes face.

As a bonus, the news page of the site is updated regularly (usually daily), so you always have a reason to come back.

This guide entry was not written by any one associated with 5MV (surprise!), just a fan.
