Brompton

Brompton village is located just a couple of miles North-east of Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
If I were to say that this was a quiet, peaceful village where nothing usually happens, and then say "but..." you'd probably expect something truly facinating to follow. Sorry.
The most interesting this about this village is that everybody walks their dogs anti-clockwise around the village green. This wouldn't be so weird except for the unmissable fact that everybody in the village owns at least 2 dogs. The consequencial whirlwind of retired dog lovers I felt had to be mentioned in this here gathering of knowledge.
Also as I have only recently discovered, it is particularly prone to flooding.
