So, what's wrong with Gosho? I quite liked the fact that another researcher's name sort of incorporated mine...

There's nothing wrong with 'Gosho' - in fact, it means something like 'honoured writings' in Japanese But I've never really felt at ease with the name.

well, it was prompted by me Going On Strike From Being Mummy for a day. They can only make toast or eat cold stuff out of the fridge... they don't know how to work the TV either (which was the clincher, I think) so today they are highly appreciative of every little thing.

Don't know how to work the TV? But I thought all kids could work a VCR by the age of four, solve a Rubik cube at six, and and hack into a bank website at eight

ah, well... we have a strange TV set up with 6 remotes and 2 satellite receivers.

I prefer that they don't know. But then, I am The Queen Of Mean so what can you expect?

It's only recently that I managed to stop them calling me a Mean Mother.

I always thought my parents were mean, so I don't think yours calling you Mean Mother is anything out of the ordinary

It's a parent's job to be mean.
