Lou, (Listy) Not around too much, don't be offended if I don't reply.. I'LL TRY!

Hi guys.

Know this entry still needs a few minor tweaks in syntax, grammar etc, but both me and the researcher (a fellow subed) have tried to put this into a new order - failed. Any ideas?

Thanks

Lou

Hi Lou. Firstly, you're best off mailing this sort of stuff to the email list, so all the Subs can have a look at it - not many subscribed to this page. The other reason is that authors often don't take kindly to editors discussing their work where they can read it (if you're a Sub who's written an entry - well, that's just tough. smiley - biggrin)

I'll have a look through it and get back to you, though.

When I get the time, I'm putting together a page of Subs Do's and Don'ts for all new Subs.

Meantime - I think we're best off talking about this over the mailing list. Drop an email to the list, but Subject it 'Mostly for the attention of Master B' - that way we'll have the dual benefit of meaning knowing which email to reply to, and everyone else will want to nosey in on a title like that so they can check that I'm not feeding you rubbish information.

Oh, blimey, I don't know. I tend to wait until an email comes through to the group and then reply to it. I don't think I should give out the address on site, neither.

Tell you what, email me at ousgg at yahoo dot com and I'll reply to the list.

It doesn't matter, really, if you give out the address onsite. It's a yahoogroup, which means that the address will only accept emails from people who are already in the group -- emails from anyone else will bounce (even emails from you, using a difference email address will bounce, unless you've set the other email into your yahoogroup preferences). And only the italics can add people to the group.

Anyway, the email address is h2g2subeditors AT yahoogroups.com

(Remove the " AT " and replace with "@", obviously.)

You can also post to the group by going directly to the yahoogroup site -- again, only people who are already in the group will be able to see the messages or post there. To do it this way, you do have to have a yahoo! account, and have it linked to the email address you use for the group. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/h2g2subeditors/

smiley - cheers
Mikey
