*sigh*... due to circumstances beyond my control, I have to leave h2g2
For the past month, my family has been debating on whether to move to America or not, and finally they've come to a decision.
The jist of it is that I'm moving to America in three days, and once I get there I probably won't have an internet connection, so I've got to say goodbye.
Can somebody tell the Editors that there's a position vacent for a SubEditor? Oh, and whoever's lucky enough to get my place, try to make yourself useful
So, as DNA once said, "So long, and thanks for all the fish".

So long Axe. It's been great having you around.
On the other hand, going to America doesn't necessarily ean giving up on all the trappings of civilization.
Take a hiatus from Subbing, as you will obviously have a lot of other thigs to deal with, but you can always pick up where you left off, once you get settled. And you can check in periodically and let us know what you're up to, even if that means signing on from an Internet cafe or the public library.
As a transplant myself, I can imagine a wealth of useful stuff your new perspective might bring to the Guide. But, in any event, I wish you all the best with your move and the best of luck in your new home.

btw America's a great place; we wouldn't visit it anywhere near as often as we do if it wasn't.

Where in America will you be moving to?
Especially if you're still in school, it would be unusual to *not* have internet access here -- almost all the schools provide it, as do all libraries, etc.
Good luck on the move! If you do get back onto h2g2 after you move, let us know -- there are h2g2 user groups from all over the US -- I started the one for Northwest US (I'm in Seattle, myself).

Hi Axe,
Aww, and we were just getting to know each other! Thanks for letting me know and thanks for all your help. I won't take off your subs' badge just yet in case you are able to return to subbing, but I will take back the batch you have. Good luck with your move, it sounds very exciting! Much love, Anna

Hi Axe,
I've just sent you a batch of two (we've had a rush on to cover for the Easter holidays and I'm waiting for some new picks to come in from the Scouts) Hope that's okay, give me a shout if you need to and have a good weekend. Glad to see you're back
Anna
