Borg Government

First I would like to discuss the good points of Borg culture (and yes there are some). The Borg live together, think together and work together to accomplish tasks that no one drone could do alone. One mind, one purpose one goal. When they come across a new environment, collectively they take all available technology and resources to enrich the common good. Ok the way they do it is barbaric and unnecessary but they take the best and lose the rest (decided upon as a whole) then they move on to the next place.
The reason I am writing this entry is because I think this is the way things have been done for a great many years but not quite in the right way. From roman time as an example their policy was to extend the reach of the Roman Empire. They swallowed all in their path taking the best and discarding the rest. Unfortunately it was one person’s plan, one will to dominate and become all-powerful. This is where it goes wrong.
I have an idea! It’s not a new Idea. It is a powerful idea and I believe it could actually work without a shot being fired (now wouldn’t that be nice).
We all of us have things in common on a massive scale.
1. We live on this planet we like to call earth. A small blue greenish sort of rock spinning round one star in a galaxy swarming round us every second of every day.
2. We need a few very basic things. Heat, food, water, shelter. We can all do without at least one of these for a short amount of time
3. We are all intelligent life forms. We have the ability to learn.
4. We all have a desire for life. We are all born and yes we all die but we try to keep the later at bay for as long as possible.
Very, very basic so why are there people one side of this earth who have much more than they ever need and people on the other side don’t even have food and water. People who don’t have a chance of any length of life.
So to this idea.
Work together for a common goal. It sounds simple I know but how difficult it will be. Share for no other reason than to help someone else on this little planet of ours.
Now world leaders this is the bit that will upset a lot of you all. Get your heads together and work out a way that all nations in all ways can co-operate on one goal. Feeding and watering the entire world. Several nations in the world will spend every last expense to get oil, weapons and money the vast distances from where the resource is to where it’s needed. WHY O WHY cant we do this with the simple things, food and water. A global effort to get food and water to every man, woman and child in this global empire. Medicine and health care to all, so these intelligent life forms born, have longer before they die.
Now if half the effort of half the world could give a leg up to the other half just think what could be accomplished. And all this without having to blow each other up to do it. Every nation working towards one nation under Sol. I say that “one nation under Sol” as no one can argue about it, no one has to get hurt or nailed to anything. We don’t have to lose who we are but we can assimilate all that is globally agreed on as good. Lose the hatred of each other’s ways of life or beliefs and recognise one thing “We are one planet one life and we can be one consciousness”
We are not the sum of all our separate parts. If we ALL were able to rely on food, water, heat, shelter, medicine and education just think how much brain power we could put to solving the greater problems of this world.
Think 10 years on…
Every man, woman and child working towards a global future.
Every country around the world working together to end poverty, hunger, disease, brutality, pain the list goes on and on.
Gene Rodenberry was a genius he saw a future where we all got along, we all worked together. All our fundamental needs were met but we had a Third World War before this happened. Is this what it will take for us to level the playing field for all on Earth. Why rip away things from the most well off when instead we could help the worst off to catch up!
I would appreciate input from other intelligent life forms!
