30th april. The biggest garagesale/freemarket in the world throughout the Netherlands, with hotspot Amsterdam. Food, Music and Rubbish everywhere. It originated from the Birthday of Former Queen Juliana van Oranje of the Netherlands. Queen Beatrix's birthday is 30th of januari. But at that time of year the weather is not friendly enough for outdoor activity. Queensday in the Netherlands combines the Freespiritness of the Dutch with their feeling for trade.
