Bok is:
A noted astronomer, Professor Bart Jan Bok (1906 - 1983), who's name has been immortalised in the Bok Globule. This is a small, dark cloud of stellar gas and dust which is, typically, in the process of condensing into one or more stars. Bok's life's work was dedicated to understanding and promoting the structure of the Milky Way.

The Bristol Orienteering Klub, formed in 1971. Its purpose has been to promote the activity of Orienteering in the local area and it currently represents one of the largest clubs of it's kind in the United Kingdom. It is a member club of the South West Orienteering Association.
A seemingly illogical and incomprehensible game popular aboard the Starship Titanic, apparently based on pan-dimensional strategy and played by two or more players1 . Broadly the game involves the movement and manipulation of objects, people and concepts within the general proximity of the players. Common gambits are 'The Doodlenut Draw'; 'The Table's Gone'; and 'The Royally Flushed Jabberwock'. Several hundred volumes have been written about the game, but no written rules, of any consequence, exist as such. The Bladderbusk Rule Options, a set of game parameters passed down orally from generations past, add several play variations and broken rules2 which are considered off-limits when the play area is subjected to the presence of a trans-quasidimensional pit.
A type of Chinese vegetable - more precisely Bok Choy - that looks like a cross between celery and a leek. It usually consists of several spoon shaped, white stems with dark green leaves at the top tightly clustered together. It is available all year round in the Far East. Commonly used in soups. A suggested recipe is:
Bok Choy Soup
Ingredients
- Pork/Chicken broth
- Chinese mushrooms
- Bok choy
- Diced tofu (if desired)
- A few drops of Sherry
- A few drops of sesame oil
- Scallion, chopped
Preparation
To make a very simple and delicious soup begin with the broth: pork or chicken bones simmered in canned chicken broth.
Then add soaked and sliced Chinese mushrooms. Let them simmer for at least 15 minutes.
Then add sliced bok choy and diced tofu (if desired). Simmer until the bok choy is tender, but still on the crisp side. At the last minute, add a few drops of sherry, a few drops of sesame oil, and a chopped scallion.
Bring back up to the simmer, and serve.
