The Loch Linnhe Swim.

Ok, so just what is it?

The Loch Linnhe Swim is an annual open water swim, 0.75M/1.25Km, across Loch Linnhe. Every year up to 12 people swim across from the western shore to the eastern shore. There is then a presentation of trophies and certificates for the entrants in Lochaber Yacht Club's club house.

It takes place where?

It takes place on Loch Linnhe, a fjord in the west-highlands on the shore of which sits Fort William. More specifically it starts at Treslaig, on the loch's west bank, and finishes at the yacht club's slipway, on the east bank, in the outskirts of Fort William.

You mentioned trophies, is it a race?
