Is there really a Black Hole?

Morning all,
As is my wont I listened to the R4 this morning, with the PM being interviewed ( gently ) by John Humphries.
After all the usual 'babble' about the Iraq war - it comss down to do you believe him or not in the end - JH asked the PM if the fiscal studies done on the UK economy by various independant organisations ,all of which appear to conclude that there is a Big Black Hole ahead, which the govt. has put on the back burner, were true. And did this not mean that if re-elcted he would have to put taxes ( or NI ,or both, - 66? )?
If any posters heard this what did they conclude from the answers?
Is there a Black Hole anyway?
