Spice Girls

The Spice Girls were: Posh, Sporty, Scary, Baby and Ginger. Yet another manufactured band of the late 9th decade of the 20th century, the Spice Girls suprised many people by becoming something more than a one hit wonder - in fact having more singles go straight to no.1 than even the mighty Beatles. This says more for the sad state of the British music industry in the latter 20th century than it does for the quality of their music. Loved by small children everywhere, the spice's spent their years of fame churning out textureless pop hits while touring the globe turning up anywhere you would not expect them to. Coining the phrase `Girl Power' the spice years ended with more of a small tearing noise than a bang.
