Since 1989 I have suported SCFC and this last season has been the worst.
Stoke moved to a new 8 million, 28000 all seater stadium in 1998 and was going to be the start of great things at Stoke.
How wrong they where. That season we dropped from the 1st Division down to the 2nd. we had 3 managers which where all sacked and the crowd wanted the board of directors to leave.
So firstly they moved they Chairmanship around to quieten the suporters. Then they brought in Brian Little. This did the trick. 5500 season tickets where sold which put them back in a good finacial position.
All looked good for Stoke to come straight back up to the 1st Division.
At first we where flying. Stoke where top of the league until December 1998. But 1999 has been a different story. We have only won 1 home game this year.
We are now in the worst position I have ever seen at Stoke. A board of Directors who wont invest any money into buying players for the club, a manager who is failing because of lack of funds, players who arnt interested in playing for the club and the worst gates for a very long time.
Next season i hope there will be big changes. This is the only way things will get better.
