I was looking at slayerage today and I found this.
http://www.slayage.tv/
I thought you might find it interesting that in Slayerage 18 - there is an article explaining about the way that the concept of the soul is treated in the Buffy/Angel verse.

As you might have guessed, I immediately *made* time for it. A very interesting read, which evoked two reactions:
- Wanting to re-read our discussion on the subject.
- at Dutch commercial TV, because they've *never* broadcasted the last 12 episodes of Angel S5.
But thanks a bunch of s for the tip; it really was very enlightening.

I don't know if you've still got the link to the original thread "Are souls the McGuffins of the Buffyverse?" if not it's: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/F1686953?thread=414385
