The Home of Tony Curtis
Created | Updated Feb 26, 2005
So, you want to know what all the fuss is about?
A number of h2g2 researchers (at least four) have had their h2 user names moderated by iCan moderators.
iCan
is a BBC site run on the same system as h2g2 i.e. DNA. It is a site intended for British residents who wish to organise and campaign about local issues.
Because h2 and iCan share the DNA system, h2g2 names (and sometimes Personal Spaces) appear on other sites.
In this case at least some of the researchers merely updated their BBC information on the iCan site, and subsequently had their names moderated. None of the names broke the h2g2 House Rules.
It's unclear how exactly they broke
iCan rules.
One of those names included the name of famous American actor Tony Curtis. 1
