I was highly amused to see names such as Cheech Marin and Antonio Banderas allowing themselves to be 'upstaged' by kids in the 2 "Spy Kids" films

Hurry and get to see #2
IMHO one of those RARE things, a follow-up film that's even better than the first!!

From one of the participants on a Survival Training camp weekend who obviously misheard the instructor
Instructor: You can cook these HERRING by baking them in clay ...
Dozy Camper: How do I get enough clay to bake a HERON? Oh, and what do they taste like .....?

Sorry, my Fannie Farmer cookbook doesn't mention heron.
*afraid to check the old Cajun cookbook, it just might have heron recipes*
I've been working on a recipe collection project. The following is a link to an alligator sauce piquante recipe. Chicken or duck is a viable substitute for the alligator meat.

How was the survival weekend?

*followed the link to the RL campsite*
That campsite looks huge and quite beautiful on the web page.
Don't worry, and definitely, about the multi posts. Last night after a message I multi posted with a minute between posts.
I was wondering, do you think a Halloween party would be a good idea? Maybe with a campsite tent crawl, around 24-31 October... Suggestions, Anyone?

Hallowe'en Party! SOunds good!!
At the RL Campsite, the end of season Camp is called Feast of the Lanterns and takes place this year w/end Oct 10-13
About 5000 pre-booked so far so we'll be busy
Our daughter has her birthday Oct 18 and we've decided to invite her friends to the Campsite that weekend. The Crew will be there to tidy up after the Feast w/end and make the site ready for the winter (used for Leader Training courses and most of the "heavy" maintenance work gets done before the new season starts again at Easter)
Key: Complain about this post
