Hi All,
We could do Mamtaz on the upper eastside!
My life's ambition is to eat a curry inside the Artic Circle.
The curry house in Stornaway doesnae count.
Bring on the Manchunian project,

Curry inside the Artic Circle that is a challenge.
Are there curry houses that far north or would you have to build a fire.
Frozen curry al fresco

Hi All
The global reference by LBCM is all about the fact that we wanted to set up a web site for the Irish Curry Massive. I did this over the weekend and is still very very basic http://www.irishcurrymassive.com/ I intend to update it soon. To be honest I can't even view it myself when I search (I am not using Internet Explorer, this maybe the problem). Both LBCM and PSD assure me that they can see it
It still needs a proper logo and alot of work so easy on the criticism. I hope you can all see it and if you have any comments on what would be nice to see etc feel free to make suggestions
Curry in the artic circle would be fantastic. My friend was in Finland (I think)recently and it was dead easy to get to the artic circle from there so perhaps a place does exist. Wait and see

Nice one Mark!
I for one have no criticism. I have spent too many hours this week trying to set up my online shop (sneaky plug: www.babanua.wahm.co.uk) . I thought I was fairly computer literate, turns out I was wrong!
I'll keep an eye on it anyway. BTW anyone up for a mini meet at HQ in the next while? Lunch perhaps? Let me know if there are any takers

Hi Shula
I am off Monday and Tuesday of next week but most other times I am available at lunch time. I think that you have my mobile number but if not lets know and I can get it too you.
I don't think there is anyone else that would normally be hanging around Dublin midweek but you never know.
I'll see if I can get pictures from the last meet up and put them up on the web site. I do have pictures from CC2. I had lunch with LBCM last thursday and we just thought that it would be great if we could get a site together. I think that we should do some restaurant reviews/indian supermarket review etc. We were thinking of a log that was Chillis in the Irish flag colours etc. Any thought that you may have are more than welcome
I hope the rug rats are in good form and a little bit of self promotion is always good.

The logo sounds cool, chillis with a bit added naan seems as we trust it so much .
I am intending to come up to Dublin soon as was there on Monday and feeling a bit of a culchie. Although not as bad as OH who was dittering off the bus and dondering onto the LUAS!! I was like move it quick before we get accosted by old ladies and shopping bags and other tourists.
I was striding along Henry Street and he was like Oh look at that pub there, theres loads of foreign shops now - oh a double decker bus

JUST BOOKED MY FLIGHTS!!!
Thinking about booking the Holiday Inn at Central Park I think it was. 78 euro for the room - seems reasonable enough.
Anyone else recommend anywhere else?
1000 am check out will not be considered

Ainsley O Naan Posted Jun 18, 2008
Hi Fiona
I just had a look at the travel lodge in Manchester Central and was 61 pounds sterling. About the same price as the Holiday Inn.
Does anyone know if either of these are any good?
Great to hear that you have the flights booked. It is all starting to gather pace now

I can't remember if the Holiday Inn provides brekkie or not.
Anyone else recommend a place and has Lardboy booked his flights yet /

Morning
I've never stopped in either because we only live half an hour away by train I've always gone home before.
But not this time after Brum an overnight stop is definitely required
Have just checked out the Irish Curry Massive website what a fantastic idea, well done AON

Captain Malcolm Reynolds Posted Jun 19, 2008
Are premier inns and holiday inns the same thing? i think they are and we had breakfast in the last one i stayed in.
Erm.....
peasoupdragon Posted Jun 19, 2008
Premier Lodge is like Travel Lodge but owned by Brewers Fayre.
I dont think Brewers Fayre own the Holiday Inn but could be wrong.
Holiday in is on Liverpool Street and Central Plaza - is Liverpool Street central Manchester?
Could be a possibility
Shall I ring them now and warn them
Erm.....
Captain Malcolm Reynolds Posted Jun 19, 2008
I think they're different! But just checked and apparently hol inns do brekkie!

Hi Holly
I think you got lucky today checking the web site as I updated it last night. If you had of checked before that it was very dull and dreary. Not that it is in any way great lucking
At the last curry convention I got the last train home but ended up a few stops down the way. Mrs AON came to the rescue
I don't mind which hotel we go for once it is central etc
Just about to tuck into a few to watch the rest of the football
