During the game it is not allowed to drink beer, or anything containing alcohol. 
It was sent of on a tournament once when the referee smelled I had been drinking.
But after the game you may drink as much as you like.
The bartender would say the more the better (for the club that is)

Well if I remember correctly (from my 'Korfbal-days') one frequently needed a drink before the game...
Of course I didn't like alcohol in those days(honest!!) so it came down to drinking coca cola until you couldn't even stagger on to the field anymore...No energydrinks in those days, people would call coca cola an energydrink...
Come to think of it : it may have been the reason that I took up bowling, less running..

I wouldn't say anything about beer not being allowed during the match...
But I have to agree, beer is quite important. I think I said something about that at the end of the article. Something about the after-match get-togethers ?
