The beautiful game indeed. On the surface it seems...well, stupid. I mean, eleven men trying to kick a ball through some white sticks. Silly! But when you see the sublime skills of Zinidine Zidane do things with a spherical object that you thought highly trained lafies of the night could do, then it all seems somehow...right. The basic rules of the game are; there are eleven men on each side (one goal keeper and ten outfeild players). The game lasts ninety minutes (split into two 45 minute halves). The aim of the game is to get the ball into your opponents goal more times than your opponenets. This has to be done only with your feet or head. You are NOT allowed to use your hands. Because the rules are so simple it can be played in a multi-millionj pound stadium or a grotty old park. And it is good.
