That's from the song "Kiss Off" by a band called "The Violent Femmes".

Which would explain the subject line. As I said, please excuse my ignorance.

Oh - the bit that says 'I forget what eight was for' - is that you saying you can't remember, or is it the actual line?

It's a good song. It makes me think of my freshman year of college.
