One, Two,
Buckle my shoe.
Three, four,
Knock at the door.
Five, Six,
Pick up sticks.
Seven, Eight,
Lay them straight.
Nine, Ten
A big fat hen!
Eleven, twelve,
Dig and delve.
Thirteen, Fourteen,
Maids a-courting.
Fifteen, Sixteen,
Maids in the Kitchen.
Seventeen, Eighteen,
Maids in waiting.
Nineteen, Twenty,
My plate's empty!

Hope that helps!

Ein,zwei,drei,vier
Lift your steiner and drink your beer

Un,deux, trois
J'irais dans le bois
Quatre,cinq, six
Pour ceuillir des cerises
Sept, huit, neuf
Dans mon pannier neuf
Dix, onze, douze (and that's where the memory gives out. Something that implies the cherries will all be red as it ends with "rouges")

The difficulty with English counting rhymes is that nothing rhymes with "twelve"

Ena, mena, maker, aker, rarei, domen, acker, om, pom, push

No idea about the spelling as you can guess!! I'm told it's derived from Danish - being 1 to 10 in said toungue. I learnt it from my mother to count out the moves of various games. The push bit leant itself to anything where you are moved on by the next player e.g. in French skipping or... hmm don't think that game ever had a special name - you know, the one with 2 balls thrown alternately against a wall: throw one catch one .... this will bug me all day now ...

more coffee nd cake needed.....
