U2

U2 is an Irish supergroup, founded in the late 1970s while all the memnbers were still in high school. Just over 20 years later, U2 still manages to turn out interesting and creative music that, oddly enough, also tends to sell well.
U2's full-length albums are
Boy (1980)
October (1982)
War (1983)
The Unforgettable Fire (1984)
The Joshua Tree (1986)
Rattle and Hum (1987)
Achtung Baby (1991)
Zooropa (1993)
Pop (1997)
The best of 1980-1990 (1999)
They have also released a CD of movie music (some of it for real movies, some for movies in potentia) under the name Passengers. They also contributed to the Million Dollar Hotel Soundtrack.
U2 consists of Bono, Edge, Larry Mullen Jr. and Adam Clayton.
Bono, born Paul Hewson, is the lead singer of the group. He also plays rhythm guitar.
Edge (or the Edge), born Dave Evans, plays guitar and sings backup. He also plays keyboards and has contributed lead vocals to a couple of songs.
Larry Mullen Jr. is the drummer.
Adam Clayton plays bass and has conrtibuted backing vocals.
The band is worth a listen for their unique sound and interesting lyrics.
