when traversing the United states, particularly New York, there are some things that you the driver should be wary of. the first thing, that any one should know (even kids know this one), is not to play in the middle of the highway. this should not occur, because it is extreamly dangerous, and is most likely to get the person who is performinng this action a Darwin Award. the second and most important thing that a traveler should not do, is attempt to cross the George washington bridge during rush hour. This is not the most intelligent thing to do, because the motarist will likely be stuck in traffic for 1-2 hours, and will be delayed and become IRRATABLE and not friendly. it is also wise, for any motorist to check the traffic conditions for any area that they may be traviling to may it be from Manhattin to buffalo or Poughquag to beekman it is important to know what the traffic is (some areas may not have traffic reports). it is esential for a traveler to know the wether too. a great web site to find your own maps for a few specialized areas would be traffic.yahoo.com
