Denver International Airport

DIA.

Pretty cool airport.

It is made up of 4 main parts. The Jeppesen Terminal, Concourse A, Concourse B, and Concourse C.

The Jeppesen Terminal is the main part of the airport that looks like mountains/teepees/circus tent. It was named after a man named Jeppesen. Jeppesen created the areonautical charts that many pilots use today, basically to make sure that the planes don't run into each other. Really smart guy. He started out as a United Airlines pilot, and usually charted all of his routs. This caught on with the other pilots, and soon everyone was charting eveything! So then Jeppesen had that to feel special about. :) So anyway, there are two sides to this terminal. The Eastside, and the Westside. On the Eastside, you can check your baggage for airlines such as Champion, Fronteir, Mexicana, Continental, US Airways, Alaska, Sun Country, Southwest, Horizon, Delta, Airtran, JetBlue, Great Lakes, and Midwest. The Westside baggage check includes Air Canada, United, Northwest, British Airways, American, Champion, and Lufthansa. The Eastside is color coded blue, and the Westside is red. Rather handy in some cases. Mostley getting off the bus. Unless you don't mind walking across the airport to get to your check in.

After checking in, hear to the main section of the terminal. You will imeadiately see the security line. It's hard to miss. And it's on the other side side of the fountains. The fountains are pretty cool.

Concourse A is the first stop you come to when you get on the train. but one of the nice things about Concourse A is that you do not have to ride the train unless you really want to (most people really want to). In order to get on the train, you have to stand in an ultra long security line. But to get to Concourse A, all you have to do is go across the bridge, and wait in a not-nearly-as-long line. And also, the bridge acts as a little museum in the airport. Concourse A has airlines such as Fronteir, JetBlue, British Airways, Mexicana, Air Canada, Lufthanasa, Continental, and Great Lakes.

Concourse B is the second stop on the train. It has United Airlines. That's about it (except for United Express).

Concourse C is the third and final stop on the train. Remember to get off.Concourse C leads to Midwest, American, Southwest, Northwest, Alaska, Horizon, US Airways, Delta, and Airtran.

Everything: Alright, the Denver International Airport in a nutshell. Security line is ULTRA-LONG!!! Pay attention to all signs. They'll take your 8 ounce tube of toothpaste if it's not in a little baggie. The concourses have birds in the stairwells. Really cool. And rather comfy seats. Concourse C is the best Because you can watch the airplanes take off and land. Highly amuzing. Little kids love it. It's a pretty easy airport to get around in, unlike the Minneapolis International Ariport, where many times you have to run clear across the airport to reach a connecting flight. Lots of artwork, smells good, and you can reach everywhere from the Jeppesen Terminal. Rental cars, hotels, baggage claim, it's all there. And each concourse has a chapel for all sorts of religions to pray in, and a place to run your dog/whatnot around in. pretty cool, eh?

Fun Facts:

Denver International Airport (DIA) is the biggest airport in America. Which is sort of odd because Colorado is the 28th most populated state in America.
