A Cry for help

Dear friends and colleagues - I did my picks today, but didn't get the responses in time to close the threads. Now I'll be out of town on business for the next few days. Please could someone look up the results to my picks and post a "Cloviscat says..." message on the relevant peer review threads? Thanks so much

I wouldn't worry too much about the "closing thread" message. If the Towers approve it, it will receive a closure message from them. The closure is really just your opportunity to say "Hey, I liked your article, and I picked it, and the Towers liked it, too. You may thank me if you like." It's just about taking credit for the work you did in PR. If it has to wait a few days, no worries. I've posted my message after the official Towers message on many occasions, especially since my picks are due in on Wednesdays, but I'm usually not online on Thursdays of Fridays (and since I'm in the US, my picks generally come in after the staff have left the office to get fuschnickered. smiley - winkeye).

You're right Colonel, but we do like people to post their own message if they can - the 'automatic' reply from the Editors does imply that the Scout will come along and comment.

But don't worry, Cloviscat. It won't make much difference for just one set of picks. Thanks for letting us know, though. smiley - smiley
