OK my own personal recipe for a Garglebalster (with thanks to my Father - who had me making these for him from a very young age)
Using a large silver spoon, crush ice into a cut crystal tumbler, almost to the brim. Add gin (beefeater, Gordons or Bombay Sapphire for preference) and twist a very slim lime peel over the top, rub the peel round the edge of the glass, and deposit in the drink. Serve.
This "Extremely Dry Martini" has the well-known effect of a lemon peel wrapped gold halfbrick smacking you in the head.
