How do you feel about Voyager?

Kitish Posted Aug 14, 2005
Erm.....I wasn't too fond of it to be honest.
What I loved about DS9 was the long running story line, and the whole character building. I also liked the darkness of the series, particularly in the later ones.
I found Voyager to be a little bland after watching DS9. Yes there were the occasionally good epsiodes (particularly the ones with the Borg), but it just seemed a little dull.

Good. DS9 is my favourite for similar reasons to yours, and Voyager is my least favourite for similar reasons to yours (except the Borg, I hated them in Voyager).

Cool. Everytime I give my reasons for loving DS9 I get pelted with eggs, tomatoes and words....Apparently Star Trek isnt meant to be dark and intense....

It's also not meant to be dull, like Voyager. I don't care about Roddenberry's utopian vision of the future, I like good drama and DS9 had lots of it.

DS9 was my favourite series too.
I've just written an entry on my fave episode, but it seems no-one wants to read it at PR.

Would any of you do me the honour?

Im not sure whats expected after reading the entry.....But a good summary! Jake wasnt exactly my favourite character - I tended to find the episodes where he featured heavily a little on the dull side, but I thought this was one of the better episodes featuring him.

I thought that Jake was OK, way better than Wesley.
>>Did you ever get into other programes like B5?<<
Nope. I'm not really a sci-fi fan, just a star trek fan. I'm odd like that.

Well Jake wasn't a bad character, but the writers sort of forgot about him for much of the show, so he became the guy who was lucky to have one line in the show (like Travis from Enterprise). The episodes that were about him though were usually quite good: The Visitor, Nor the Battle to the Strong, In the Cards . . .
