Bahb's Metaphysical Theory of Maximum Ironic Entropy

1 Conversation

I have come up with a sort of metaphysical theory. This is not neccesarily a unique occurence (indeed, it would be foolish to think that this does not happen to everyone at least forty-two times in their lifetimes), but I think it's worth noting. It is up to the reader to determine whether it qualifies as hard science. I thought about it a long time.
The theory is this: Every event or action which occurs in the universe has not only an equal and opposite reaction associated with it, but also thousands upon thousands of additional consequences which nobody even stopped to think about. Furthermore, these reactions tend to follow a pattern which is almost impossible to predict. In fact, this unpredictability forms the underlying backbone of my theory. I have concluded that when a particular action is performed, lots of things will result. Some of these things the performer will be aware of, and most are very likely to be so remote as to entirely escape the performer's notice. The real kicker to this is that the things which occur (not including the equal-and-opposite humdrum previously mentioned) will differ so fantastically from the performer's original intent that it can only be described as Divine Irony. Of course this brings up the question of A Divine Entity controlling the consequences of our actions, but that's another theory.
