Morris Dancing is a form of traditional English Folk dancing. It usually involves 6 or 8 men (or women now)standing in a rectangle. variuos costumes are worn by the different teams accross the country, but most of the cotswold (one of the main types of morris) sides ware bauldriks (spelling error?) and border morris (the other main type) wear raggy jackets. Almost all morris sides wear bells on their legs. The dances are accompanied with hankies or sticks held in the dancers hands. The dances usually are made up of a unique chorus, and movements of steping of a 'tradition', the single step is common of the town of headington, so the 'belly to belly' figure of headington would be used in all headington dances, each with a different chorus for example (example used may not be totally correct).
Each team of dancers, usually 10-20 dancers, dances several traditions. Music is traditional folk, played mostly on accordian, melodian, fiddle, and pipe and tabour.
