Team Sports

Team sports originated when people wanted to practice for war and there was no convenient enemy to kill. Rules where established quickly to ensure that accidental injuries and death were accidental, or at least look like an accident.
Soon Team sports evolved into three broad catagories:
- Sports with cool weapons (Hockey, Ice Hockey, Lacrose)
- Sports that used the body to move a ball around (soccer, water polo)
- Sports where physical violence can be used freely (all of the above)
Some team sports take the violence out all together (cricket is a good example) but some sports officials thought the better and allowd other forms of violence to take place (baseball and soccor brawls).
While all sports claim to be about winning, it is realy an excuse for people to get together, hit each other, and drink lots of beer afterwards.
