Soap Operas - Death By Boredom

They are some of the most popular television programs in the UK. They often start actors or singers on the road to success and so I feel the need to speak out against the menace that is - the soap opera.
OK, no offence to the people who make them or act in them but they are terrible! The storyline s are unlikely. The characters are unrealistic and the acting is worse than I could pull out of a first year nativity play!
The ones shown on channel five are the worst. They can be classed more correctly as melodramas than realistic entertainment. Sunset Beach is a prime example of this crime against quality programing.
The British soaps are just as bad! How many streets have you been down that are full of drug pushing, murderous yet extremely attractive rapists?
Which brings us to Neighbours. Anyone over the age of fifteen who enjoys this garbage - shame on you! It is definately teenager orientated programme, and what else can you expect on the BBC?
