Brave New World by Iron Maiden

And now the music. Although I was quite disappointed with the single "The Wicker Man", especially with its chorus, I really like the new album as a whole.
There are a few really great songs on it, let me just mention "Blood Brothers", "The Mercenary" and "The Thin Line Between Love And Hate". You could complain that Iron Maiden haven't changed their style a bit, but I think that is not true. Maiden are still Maiden, okay, but you can hear the influences that Bruce Dickinsons solo works have on the Maiden sound. In my opinion, it's the right way to keep the old style and just add bits of new stuff to it, so theres a balance between having-heard-all-that-before and whoa-something-new...
And even if the songs are not the best Iron Maiden ever recorded, it's still a pleasure to hear Bruce Dickinson again. There were a few good songs on albums between "Fear Of The Dark" and "Brave New World", but Blaze Bailey just didn't have the voice to compete with Bruce.
So I repeat: Iron Maiden are back...
