Meteor shower project!
Jimi X Started conversation Aug 7, 2000
The Perseids meteor shower reaches peak activity on the
nights of Aug. 11/12 and Aug. 12/13. So beeline and I are recruiting
Researchers from across the northern hemisphere to take part
in a scientific survey by counting meteors on those two
nights.

Meteor shower project!

I will be counting tonight the perseid shower at Grayton Beach. The 11 and 12 of August. I will come back to post my results here. Let me know what hours I should begin if my results should be entered into any survey of this shower.
It is cloudy this morning, and I am hoping that they will go away for clear viewing tonight. I am in the Panhandle of Florida.
It is great to find your site.

Hi JLC!
Sadly after rain-outs the past two years, I'm not hosting an h2g2 count this year. Good luck with it though!
Clear skies!

August 11,2002, Perseid Meteor Shower, 48 between 12-1 AM
44 between 2-3, 45 between 3-4, and 55 between 4-5 AM, Total = 192
August 12, 2002, Grayton Beach Florida = 245 Meteors
total fallings stars wished upon 437!
Count the little bit of stars I caught on the nights preceeding and following the Meteor shower I can safely say I saw and wished upon over 500 falling stars.
