I see theres no eclipse central page yet. That would be fab, anyone want to do one for the h2g2as? I'll ask around, else I'll create one, though sadly I can't see it this time!

I'm going to continue to keep that one updated with info on upcoming eclipses. As soon as one passes, I'll post info about the next. I reckon that'll be a fairly good resource.

btw: Have you seen Mars yet? I broke out the big 'scope for some observing tonight. I'll try to do some photos for the next AS newsletter.

Yeah but I've never seen it through a big scope. Photos would be apsilutly fantastic! Brilliant. My 10x50 is all I have at the mo, though I have found my fathers half ground glases. Any idea of what to do with them?

Good observing,

Nick

Weather isn't cooperating yet. smiley - grr

We're going through a period of really high humidity and upper atmosphere fog. smiley - tongueout Showers coming toward the weekend should clear it up though...

And the binoculars /should/ give you a fairly descent view of the disc and maybe even the ice caps. Worth a try in any event.

Cheers!
