Rudolph Hess

3 Conversations

An unpopular man at the end of World War II, Hess found himself in Spandau prison with four other equally unpopular gentlemen. The prison, built originally to house two hundred souls, provided enough space for the men not only to have their own quarters, but also their own vegetable patches. With a line of guards on the walls facing outwards and another line facing in, there were ample witnesses to see the five very unpopular men tiptoe between each other's garden to nick turnips and swede in the night.
