Baguio, Philippines

WARNING: This entry is *highly* under construction right now. I'll be adding to it from August 2004 when I'm actually in Baguio and not just drawing from memory.

Baguio City is known as the "Summer capital" of the Philippines. It's high in the mountains in Northen Luzon, about 7 hours drive north of Manila. Due to it's high altitude the city's climate is much cooler than the rest of the country, meaning people flock here during the Summer months when temperatures elsewhere reach over 100 degrees farinheit. It's calm, laid back atmosphere also makes it a popular honeymoon destination locally.

Like I said this entry is nowhere near finished (nowhere near started, actually!) so, um, I'll add some more stuff here when I'm over there. Just preparing..

Attractions

Here I'll give details on local tourist attractions such as Mines View and the Crystal Caves, as well as what ever else tickles my fancy.

Nightlife

Here I'll talk about how generally the city shuts down at night but there's a few clubs and pubs to keep you going. This is under construction, alright?? :-)

Getting Around

The two main ways to get around Baguio are the jeepney, and also using cabs. I'll put more about these here.

Finally I'll put a wrapping-up paragraph here.
