Tree Wise Men

I am in my mid thirties and have returned to reading the Hitchhikers series having read and listened to them as a kid at primary school. I also remeber a TV series which I enjoyed at the time. Delighted there is a film too. Now my children are a similar age (Older) to when I was first interested in the Guide - it provides wonderful reflection.

I am a person that has always been interested in learning and development as well as people and places. My work is land use planning and I am also involved in "people first" which aims to make working life better for all at my office. I like to read particularly history art and philosophy (but not as often I would like)and I have a growing interest in Science and Computers which I had hitherto loathed - I blame Brainiac and the Guide. But - Don't get me wrong I am more like Homer Simpson than John Tickle (others may disagree).

I am a black belt karate which I still enjoy learning and now teaching.

I hate shopping, waiting, meetings, people who talk to much, and me (when I talk too much)
I love karate, exercise, reading, worrying, food, and the occasional beer and me (sometimes).

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
