I recall liking Unmarked Helicopters so much I actually bought the X-Files soundtrack, just for it. Oh, and Red Right Hand.

Nice little Entry smiley - ok

Yeah, Unmarked Helicopters is by far my favourite of their songs. I was obsessed with the X-Files, and that led me to importing all the Soul Coughing CDs smiley - smiley

Not many people have heard of them, I've never met anyone who has.

I remember hearing a presenter on the radio mention the name Soul Coughing in a rundown of recently-played songs awhile back, but can't for the life of me think what song it might have been. It was probably within the last two or three years, did they have a release with some staying power that's still circulating the airwaves?

Is there a website or fansite, even though the band has disbanded? Or anywhere else we might get an audio sample?

Have the band members gone on to other projects, are any of them still working together?

I couldn't tell you if there's still a song circulating on the radio - I doubt a Soul Coughing song was ever heard in NZ even when they were together.

When I was writing it the Soul Coughing website was offline, but now it's back. I'll add a link to it.

I'll add something about what the bandmembers moved on to. I know Mike Doughty had a bit of a solo career, and at least one other bandmember worked with other bands ... Oh, Mike Doughty has a couple of websites I think, I'll see if any Soul Coughing songs are featured.
